Onboarding

Here’s what happens when you work on a project with me:

Cover the basics

This step happens right after our first discovery call. A profile is created for you where your business information and the action items from our conversation are stored. A project proposal is then sent to you, with details of what my team will be doing, the resources we’ll be using, our performance estimates -in the case of campaigns- along with the estimated timeline for completion.

Strategy

While you’ll probably come to me with an idea of what you want, after we consider all the factors, you may want to adjust your goals. It’s at this stage -after you’re given all the required information- that we review everything and confirm what we’ll be working towards. I’ll write a strategy, and this will be the guide for both your team and mine to understand what we’re creating, along with the expectations of each. Depending on the size of your organization, there may be some back and forth here before we finalize. Once we have the strategy written and agreed on by both parties, we proceed to the next step.

Build your product

At this point, we’ve agreed on the goals, details and resources. I use ‘product’ here as a loose term to refer to the solution my team will be developing, whether campaign, website, or any combination of the services we offer. Drafts and ideas will be sent to you along the way and I will give you progress reports. There will be back and forth here as we receive and implement your feedback. When all the assets are complete and your final approval given in writing, we move to launch. The strategy guides the exact method for this, and will vary from project to project.

Insight and improvements

After the successful release of your product, we’ll begin to get feedback from your audience. It may come as comments on social media, phone calls, form submissions on your website, conversations, etc. It’s wise to listen to them all and consider them, both positive and negative. It’s here that we will begin to see all the unexpected uses of your product, along with ideas for improvement. Armed with this new insight, we’ll work out how to implement the changes and polish the product further.

Note: While all the points above give a clear understanding of how a project should go, it rarely ever follows this script perfectly. There are many unknown variables -especially in Google Ads- that can derail a project or bump it along to a nice, tidy, albeit unexpected finish. Whichever the case, the pillar of my success with you is solid communication. That’s why along the way, you’ll receive regular progress reports via email to ensure that you know the exact details of your investment.
